If you're anything like me everybody knows all about your chickens. I talk about my critters a lot. So when it comes to gift giving time, I often receive chicken themed gifts. I have salt and pepper shakers held up by a rooster, signs for the walls, hens on dishcloths, stuffed chickens, glass chickens, chicken and duck ornaments, rubber duckies of all sizes and colors, and even chicken shaped candles! This Christmas I got a Murano glass chicken, a duck sign and these guys:
My aunt picked them up at a yard sale (where all the most awesome chicken stuff is found!) I have no idea how old they are but there is an artist mark on the bottom so I will try to look them up. I think they are so darn cute!
What kind of chicken gifts have you gotten?

My kitchen decor started with a rooster birdhouse with dangly legs...the roo is dressed in western boots, hat, and bandanna (for my western-themed house). This Christmas I got several cute chickens of wood and paper mache--Hobby Lobby always has cute chickens!
ReplyDeleteThat rooster sounds adorable! Who can resist something like that? Not I!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, I'll check Hobby Lobby!

I get platters, ceramic statues, pitchers, etc. The one really strange one was a painting that my mom's friend did. I wasn't expecting it and it's sort of modern, or at least with colors that are different. It's different.
ReplyDeleteOhhh, platters! That's what I don't have lol. You're painting sounds pretty!
