The most unique Pumpkin recipe's ever!

It's the start of "Pumpkin everything" season! (it's the official start ya know...since Starbucks just started with their pumpkin latte, that means it's on now! LOL) The kids are always trying to get me to make new things with pumpkin....which is how I ended up making pumpkin milkshakes last year! Crazy kids!

Joking aside, it's one of my favorite times of year! The family and I love pumpkin flavored goodies. From the normal pies and cake rolls to the more unique candies, smoothies and even donuts, we've found tons of amazing recipes this year and I wanted to share them with you.

unique pumpkin recipes

I'll start with one of my pumpkin candy recipes. Pumpkin Caramels! I found his recipe years ago and have been making it ever since. Even if you're not into making candy.....this one is super easy and oh so yummy!

Pumpkin donuts. I always thought donuts were hard to make so I never attempted it. Then I found this recipe for Pumpkin donuts from Cooke's Frontier and it sounded so easy, I just had to try it.

OMG! You have to make these! They are absolutely fabulous and they go wonderful with your morning latte.

Pumpkin Crepes. This recipe from Simplistically Living is surprisingly easy and oh so good! Great way to add that amazing pumpkin spice taste to your breakfast, or dinner!

Whole wheat pumpkin cream cheese muffins. These remind me of one of those yummy pumpkin rolls my grandma used to make, but in a more convenient muffin shape! Another one from Cooke's Frontier, these are so delicious and I love the fact that they use whole wheat flour!

Pumpkin Ice cream. Make my own pumpkin ice cream? Yes please! This recipe from One Acre Farm had me drooling when I read it! I just had to bust out the old ice cream maker and give it a try.

WOW! If you like ice cream, then this is a must try on the pumpkin list!

Bowl of freshly made pumpkin ice cream

Pumpkin smoothie and Pumpkin hot chocolate. I love these recipes! Homestead Lady uses ingredients like coconut milk and chamomile tea to create these yummy and good for you recipes. You have to head over and give them a try!

Have you ever tried pumpkin soup? I swear I started drooling when I read the recipe for Pumpkin~Thyme soup from Back To Our Roots! This savory soup is definitely on my list of: things to make, like... right now!

Of course we can't leave out our four footed friends!

DIY pumpkin peanut butter dog treats. We all know that dogs love peanut butter, but did you know that pumpkin is good for their digestive system? Pumpkin's fiber and moisture content helps to regulate things for your furry friend.

I made these treats for my dogs and they loved them! Not only that, but I don't have to worry about all those scary dog treat/food recalls when I make my own. Thanks to Timber Creek Farmer I know exactly what is in my pooches treats!

While we're talking about all this pumpkin deliciousness, lets talk about the main ingredient. Pumpkin puree! Did you know making your own pumpkin puree is as simple as cut, clean, bake & puree?

Check out my tutorial for the exact steps, but I promise it's easier than you think!

I'm gonna wrap up here with my own Never fail Pumpkin cheesecake. I've been using this recipe since 2005 and have had perfect results every time!

Well, what do you think? Are you in the mood for fall yet? Make some pumpkin goodies and lets get those fall days heading our way!
